Seems Boris is not that popular even in his own constituency !!!

Johnson could lose his seat and majority at next election - poll

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is on course to lose his own seat and neither of the two main political parties is likely to win an outright majority at the next general election, not due until 2024, according to a new poll.

This is the first detailed survey of the public's perception of Johnson's handling of the recently concluded Brexit talks and the COVID-19 pandemic after he reversed plans to allow families to meet up at Christmas in parts of southern England to combat the spread of the virus.

More than 22,000 people were surveyed in a closely watched poll constituency-by-constituency poll over a four-week period in December, which was conducted by the research data company Focaldata and published by the Sunday Times.

The so-called multilevel regression and post-stratification (MRP) poll found the ruling Conservatives would lose 81 seats, wiping out the 80-seat majority. This would leave the Conservatives with 284 seats, while the opposition Labour Party would win 282 seats, the poll showed.

The Scottish National Party, which wants to break away from the rest of the United Kingdom, is predicted to win 57 of the 59 seats in Scotland, meaning the party could potentially play a kingmaker role in forming the next government.

The prime minister is at risk to lose his own seat of Uxbridge, west of London, the poll found.

Johnson won a resounding election victory last year that allowed him to take Britain out of the European Union's orbit on New Year's Eve after almost half a century of close ties.

But Johnson's premiership may increasingly be defined by the government's response to the coronavirus pandemic, which has already killed more than 74,000 people and crushed the economy.

Do it!! Vote labor, dude! :)

Nah, I'm playin'. I don't know the first thing about the politics there. My inclination is always to try and see the greater good.

I think when you're too ideological, you lose sight of that. You end up with something that works in the minds of the elite, but doesn't serve the common man.

For that reason, I vote democrat here in the states and tend to lean left (liberal) in terms of personal politics.

Me too matey, except that I am on the extreme 'hard' left - which is why I am delighted that that people of Uxbridge (Boris's constituency) are finally coming to their senses and a re ready to ditch the bastard !!!

Three years is an eternity in politics. Maybe look at polls early in 2024, and then tell us what might happen.

It is entirely possible to get a General Election way before 2024. All it needs is enough MPs to vote against him on an issue of confidence !!!

I certainly don't think the Tories will hang onto many of the seats in the North . He has shafted us over Covid and many will never forget .

True it's not going to be a walk in the park but I am sure as night follows day there will be many TV investigative programmes questioning the way the pandemic was handled by Boris and his Cronies. We have the highest death rate in Europe ,yet we are an Island nation. It doesn't take one to know Rocket science that something has gone badly wrong and who to blame .
On top of that we havnt seen the affects of this so called deal with Europe yet .That will be unfolding in the days and weeks to come if there are food shortages as I am expecting .

In case you hadn't noticed, the Conservatives have a majority, and parties whip their MPs on matters of confidence.

Yes I'm aware of that, but there are a number of disaffected scumbag 'nasty party' members who are prepared to ignore the 'whip' and vote against the party 'line'.
