Hello to all my fellow "human beings" out there reading this. I've seen alot of posts and comments on here and other sites about how atheists and Christians can't live together. Well let me tell you about my family. I have 3 siblings, 1 sister, 1 step-sister and 1 step-brother. Apart from my step-brother my entire family is atheist. He is very religious but we are yet to have any agreements involving his beliefs. He doesn't care that his sister is openly gay and still has regular conversations with her. He and I have discussed religion without any conflict. Instead we just talked about why we believed in what we did and shared ideas. My grandparents Are religious and yet theygive all their love to me. Many of my friends at school are religious we never have any arguments over it. Same with my teaches and may I tell you that I attend a Catholic school. Now I'm pretty damn sure I'm not they only person on a planet of over 7 billion others that has a similar arrangment as this. Maybe if people understood the idea of respect of other beliefs we might not be in such awkward situations. Some people say that if you don't like it leave, why not instead try to work things out so as to get rid of the issue instead of just letting it linger around to rise again someday. Don't say that the other side of the argument is stupid and that there's nothing to be gained from believing. If you could just take a second to listen to what they have to say. You might actually learn something for once. I've seen people say that they do listen but they don't seem to remember. Think of it as similar to the "2 brains are better than 1" metaphor.
It seems like only when there is a catastrophy- - >We do try though- -people must learn tolerance first- -then we can move on from there
I see: and I'm a fundy rather than a mythological independence moralist like you. Derkheim, was he a fundy or an LSD-Timothy Leary Advocate type, or maybe "I walked away from campus one day and never came back" kind if guy? "ever since I've been making profit like it was going out of style."
Um. Are they supposed to both sound silly? It seems to go to greater lengths with the Atheism, but they may have just been letting Christianity's inanity stand on it's own. At any rate, that's a poor description of the Big Bang theory; and a worse understanding of Atheism. I could very well believe the universe just always was and those scientists are just amusing themselves. I mean, I know you didn't write it or anything, and I'm just sort've rambling, but I find it to be a rather stupid picture.
I thought you knew me by now, Duck. I've been on this site for two years now and I'm still walking on egg shells around here half of the time it seems. It's just a joke, man. Yes, I'll admit I'm a Christian, but you don't see me trying to cram it down anyone's throat around here. I don't post links and videos about it all day or argue about it in a thread forever. What I consider "rather stupid" is when people can post a pic of a raptor hanging on a cross, or can say things like "Jesus can suck 12 c#*ks" and get away with it. And here I am having to defend a little big bang joke. You're right, it wasn't very understanding of me. And I'm ill-informed on the facts, sorry.
