Sooooo here's the dilemma. My hair was naturally straight/wavy before I backcombed (nearly two weeks ago) some of it, and so the baby dreads are wavy. I don't mind, I actually quite like it, but I haven't really seen anyone with "wavy" dreads. They seem like they are tightening ok, but should they be straight? Are they not tight enough? Or is the waviness ok? Will they straighten with time? Ahh the questions...
They look fine. You're only two weeks in... In two months they should really start to take shape and tighten up. use salt water spray to help.
yeah, honestly its cool to have different dreads than anyone else, theyll fix themselves but they look real good
im 5 weeks in and my wispy ends are wavy, i likey =] dont fret.. they wont really do much for another few months (i mean stuff like get real tight, and get straighter etc)
Right, your hair hasn't matted yet, just have patience, wash a lot and they'll change in time maybe they'll get more wavy, maybe they'll get straight, you'll never know
Mine are like that at the moment, only insanely fuzzy and partly matted.. lol. It's interesting. Mine are about 6/7 weeks now.. I think.
takes time kiddo, not like instant coffee..lol like a fine wine, they are better with age, hang in there
I have wavy hair too and mine are only a couple weeks old. Except the only time mine went remotely wavy was when I washed them. They've straightened out since.
its likely that they will straiten out as they mat up, so enjoy the wavyness theres nothing wrong with it and i think they look awesome.
mine are the same, my waves are actually even tighter and thicker than yours. loose curls i guess. honestly, i wish my dreads would be wavy, but i'm guessing they will tighten up and be straight just like everyone elses, heh.
