    Water Walking

    What is a human
    but water's way of running uphill?
    A shortcut for the downward dragged.
    The hill walker, mountain-climber
    the embodied ocean's sacred ascention;
    the aspiring salt-sea of our cells
    upward drifting from the forlorn valleys
    that languish in the fogs and hazes of night.
    We journey to the sun and sky;
    for views from the top of the world.

    We are the walking ocean
    released from the selfish grasp of gravity
    We are the falling river reversed
    free to wander, and wonder at the world.

    I ask myself that daily, and yet have no answer. This place is an armpit (even though I'm in the suburbs...even worse, bleh). Anyways, thanks for your comments, you too tommyboy :)
