I've been watching for over an hour now. The live feed keeps cutting out (bummer) but it's so cool to see Earth come into view.

NASA site is showing other content when the USTREAM live feed is unavailable: http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/#.VBDsamPwr-8

I watched the space shuttle Challenger explode in the air, live, when I was a kid. I was 10 or 11 years old. Stayed home from school that day, sick. It was quite an experience to watch it live and a shock and a half, to watch it so unexpectedly explode. R.I.P. Christa McAuliffe & Challenger crew.

It shocked all of us, I think. What shocked me more is all the jokes around the word NASA that people made afterwards. Made me a little bit disappointed in the human race when that happened.

Live talk: 20 minutes prior to landing, the crew is just now feeling the first of gravity they've felt in over 5 months...

Crew sees a plasma trail as the heat dissipates ..

(just over 17 minutes now .. silence from the live feed .. )

View from the landing site attached.
