a couple of my good friends recently tried acid. im extremely intrigued by what ive been hearing. could any of you guys elaborate more on your "epiphanies" and religious experiences? im looking at it as more of a spiritual thing and not so much the physical trip
You should go to youtube and watch a documentary called LSD the beyond within. It gives you a pretty sweet idea as to the history and effects of this crazy drug.
I dont really think of it as 'spiritual' perse but I still think it is the deepest you can go into your own experience and it can definately be enlightening and give you perspective on life. I am not a fan of seeing acid as a means to recieve anything, instead, it is a tool that you can use to connect your mind in a new way and thus further the personal journey we all take, of making sense of our world. Its sort of like, taking psychedelics shows you that 'our world' is a lot more (and perhaps a lot less) than we tend to believe after listening to society for our whole lives
LSD tends to show you what your looking for... if you are on a spiritual quest, it will raise some interisting internal dialogue and provoke some questions. When you work out your answers... you will probably realize that the truth was there all along and thus is the definition of an epiphanie. but i wouldnt want to tell you the whole story and spoil the supise for you... it'll be a test.
Did I ever tell you your concise, educated, rational, succinct yet evocative way of writing gives me a writer's boner?
