Hey, I'll get straight to the point, and that point is that I'm pissed off with the world. We're Hippies, we've heard it a thousand different times, a thousand different ways, but I'm not putting up with it. I'm not supporting a country so obsessed with money and power and I'm not supporting that type of lifestyle either. I refuse to let my future kids grow in a nation of fear. Everyone tells me that I can be successful in life, have a great job, make a nice living, but I don't want that. I want adventure, and I want peace, but most of all I want to REALLY LIVE! I can't do that with a job that requires the same thing of me every day! Who can? I'm tired of being considered a freak for wanting this. I NEED to find more people that want this.

My plan is to get together people that agree with me on this. People that are brave, and willing to shun off a life society expects them to live. It's crazy to ask someone to consider it, but I'm hoping I don't have to. One day I'd love to take this group and start our own way of life in nature. I was thinking New Zealand, the area is so lovely and the country is peaceful. I'm aware this would take money, and I'm aware that I'm only 16, but I'm graduating early and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my life...

Is there any chance ANYONE would consider this?

I really want to get as far away from this place as I can, New Zealand just seemed perfect. What's Belize like?

If enough people WERE interested I would go ahead and get things figured out. I can't plan this with only 8 or 9 people though....do you know anyone else that'd be interested?

I know, I can't wait to get out of this country. New Zealand is so beatiful, and it's not like you hear about finding nukes or anything there. -_-

New Zealand is admittedly a great country, nukes-free. It does have its perks, but then, so does every country. Have you tried the NZ forum? Also, supposedly there are a bunch of communes around Nelson, or the Coromandel area. You might want to look into existing ones?

I've posted a few times in there, but I didn't see the commune thing. I'll have to check it out, thanks!

I was wondering...if anyone would want to live in New Zealand in a commune thing what would you guys think about a sheep farm? Personally I think it'd be awesome, but that's just me. We could also have a garden and stuff, live somewhere near the mountains. I'm all excited! If I don't actually start a commune I'll probably end up starting a sheep farm anyways for anyone that wants to come. :)

Hey, count me in; that's exactly what I'm looking for.

What exactly would a sheep farm do? Could you make a living off that?

I'm thinking you could. Of course the wool can be used to make dozens of things, as well as the lanolin in the wool. And I love sheep. :)

I considered that a few years back but the rights are different and all the young people in new zealand are leaving the farms so maybe it's not so great. It sounds nice.
Belize is supposed to be pretty dangerous but the farming is good though.

i think those young people leave the farms because they want to live the lifestyle we reject so much. if you choose to do because it really is what you wnat, it's different.
send me a message if you want pursue this, i'm planning on visiting some ecological farm commune within a year. mabey it would be cool to visit you when you are starting up
