Hey I am a 17 year old female. I live in England and I have just completed one year at college. I no longer want to continue college and I no longer want to live here anymore. I would LOVE to live in the Netherlands as I have a few friends that live there. I am wondering how can I immigrate to the Netherlands and find work there? I tried looking online and it said i HAD to be an employer or aged 18-45 with some proffessional skill...surely the immigration system can't be that harsh? Anyway to the point.. How do I get a visa for Netherlands and if I am able to get one how long would it take? Also any information that I need to know that I may have missed out as well please. Thank you so much
Are you a UK national, or a national of any other EU country? If yes, you won't need a visa. You may want to finish college first, unless you're planning to work in the windows, it's just handy, ya know, and it'll allow you to grow just a bit older. Besides, to be able to get work in a bar or coffeeshop, which is what you'd probably be looking at unless you speak Dutch, it really really helps to be 18.
I am a British citizen.. I'm not sure what UK national means? But I was born in England etc etc.. so does that mean I don't need a visa to live there?
Because the legal age for weed/alcohol is 18, you need to be the same age to serve said substances. Unless you speak Dutch, you probably won't find work in other industries than the tourist-oriented ones, like bars/coffee shops. Err... you do plan to work, right? I believe you also need to be 18 to work in the windows, if that's what you're thinking.
