Alright i`m just going to throw it out... I live in downtown montreal, Canada right now, it`s cold tempature wise and i`m just tired of living in sterile urban centres. I want back to the land, the forest, the stream, dig? So what I`m looking for is someone with a farm, or a considerable peice of land who does some kinda work they could use help with. All I desire is land (i gotta tent), and some food for a few hours of work everyday. I`m a nomadic type so no I wouldn`t expect you to keep me forever, just looking to get back to the earth and this idea struck me last night... so the bets are in, let`s see what happens
I'd rather have a head job on a farm as long as it isn't from a sub-human type...I just saw a news post about some guy in some state who was sentenced to 20 ys or so (Michigan I think) for cavorting with a sheep. Last night I had a nightmare about getting some head from a chicken!
hey, i am seriously considering heading out to hawaii for an indefinite amount of time....how long are you thinking you'd like to try this out for? i live on a farm but there's not a whole lot going on here. used to be a lot more but gramps left his body and no one else has been very interested in it. there is an orchard which takes mimimal care, lawnmowing of a few acres when the grass starts growing, basic maintenance things like fence mending, not much else. there is a large plot for gardening and a roto-tiller free to use. oh yeah there are grapes growing too, 2 streams close to the house and pleeeeenty of room, closest neighbor is about a mile. we're on a dirt road. i want to be able to leave my house like it is, furniture, dishes, nice artwork and tie-dyes on walls, pc, kitty(she's the awesomest), everything, so it's a kind setup for the right person. it does require payment of basic phone $27 (and internet service if you want, there is actually highspeed out here), trash pickup $11 and electric $35 a month. there's free natural gas for heaters and stove and hot water heater. there is a great well here but not drinkable so i get local spring water from a friend. the house is about 10 miles to the nearest little one traffic light town with a few stores and restaurants and there is a major window company in the area that i think is one of the biggest employers around here, so paid employment is scarce but it is there. there is also a small city (75000 people) about 40 miles away that has everything usual, including some consciousness and a university extension. have to mention there are some phenominal musicians in the area and kind folks, ya just gotta poke around. that's a general idea, if you'd like to know more please ask. the sooner i can get this set up the better, but i'm just going with the flow, can't force anything, ya know?
