want to build a straw house

hi everyone just found this site and i must say it amazing well done everyone.
im a 26 year old male whos had enough of society and the way im made to work seven days a week and having to buy in to all the stuff that goes with modern living. while at the libary i found a book about starting a smallholding ive seen the light and now have a new dream i want a straw house and live a better life for myself. what i would like is peoples views and ideas and maybee some help with learning how and where to start. as well as peoples storys. thanks for tasken time to read this and hope i hear from you soon.

i love the idea of cob construction it offers so mutch flexability in desieng and artistic expression! where in tn. are you walker?

 

I am in Knoxville. No cob house at the moment though. I hope to build one some day. I have been looking into it and love the flexibility of it as well as the possibility of doing it all by hand ... or foot ... or rather without power tools and machinery.
