    Controlling drinking and smoking are easier said than done - you have my sympathy. In my own life, I'd personally like to trade those habits completely away for lots of music, lots of sex, and lots of laughter instead.

    they might be associated but it's not at all hard to make music, have wonderful sex, and laugh a whole bunch without smoking and drinking.

    Vices are a crutch, an illusion of comfort. I am as guilty as you for partaking of them, but I've now reached the point where I've begun to reign them in. Everything in moderation ya know? If moderation isn't possible, then abstinence is the best choice.
