The ice is creeping out and covering up more of the lake. That was earlier this morning, it's snowing up a storm out there now.

The last two days here gave us the most breathtaking sunsets, and I took many photos. Here are a few. Every color was in the sunsets.....oranges, pinks, lavenders, greys....My photos do not do what i saw any justice at all.....even the river looked pink , reflecting the most beautiful sunsets one day.
Tonight's sunset was not as spectacular, so there are no photos from today, and most of the snow you see in these photos melted today, as it was warm out there all day today.....

the other paw of this, is people who don't park far enough off the road for the plows to get by, then whine when their cars, completely buried and thus invisible to rotary plow drivers, get munched by them.
of course in talking about places where snow gets deep enough to actually do so, like in ski areas, which i once lived in a railroad company town that was surrounded by them.
sorry i don't have picture of that to share, only some snow pictures, which i've probably linked before, from many years ago when i did.

It was a beautifully sunny and mild day today, 3C!. Lots of puddles. It was foggy this morning but the sun peeked out later in the day. The water looked like glass. It was so nice to spend some time at the lake.

Those are fantastic, Piaf! I'd go nuts in that market. Do you live there or are you on vacation?

That reminds me of my grandmothers place. There is a stream behind her house, with a bridge like that.

    Beautiful.
I sometimes miss living on the coast because just looking at the water relaxes me.

It was a mild day today with a lot of rain. It finally let up for a while, it was nice to spend a few hours outdoors. The rain left a beautiful mist.

And a lot of puddles! There was practically a lake on the path. Very odd weather for February, we're usually buried under snow this time of year. This is what it usually looks like in April. Which is why it's May I look forward too when the ice is gone and things are dried up.

There were some nice rays at the lake the other day. With the ubiquitous ice. We've had really low temperatures here lately, it was freezing at the lake. I couldn't stay out very long.

You can see the rocks coated with ice.

The beach area. Must be where the snow plows dump the ice when they plow the cross country skiing path.

I hear there could be more snow this weekend in some parts of the country. Get ready to take some snapshots people!
