So, I am having this particular issue from at least last 5 years or so. Rather I should say 10 years or so. I have never been able to wake up on my own even on a single occasion. My mom always wakes me up in the morning irrespective of what time I have to leave for the office. I have tried everything, cell phones, alarms, automated systems, but nothing works for me and the alarm keeps ringing and I keep sleeping until and unless someone comes and screams gives me a couple of jerks. I now really feel obsessed with this habit of mine and I want to get rid of this. Any ideas are welcomed. Please help me as to what should I do regarding this?

Drink a lot of water before going to sleep. You will have to get up to pee eventually...;)

Also...have you thought of going to a sleep clinic? You may have sleep apnea which is causing you to get terrible sleep and making you more tired.
CPAP machines work wonders, a few of my family members have them.

I have tried this actually because it was recommended by the physician since my body was lacking water. But it didn't make a difference since I had to get up and pee twice or thrice during the night but the situation remained the same in the mornings. :(

I don't need an alarm clock. If I want to wake up at three or four or any specific time all I have to do is tell myself what time I want up and I will wake up within a few minutes of that time.

What? Really? How come you do this? Did you develop this habit on your own? If I can do this, I will be the happiest man on the earth.

I have always had a good ability to know what time it is without seeing a clock. Usually I am within ten minutes of what the actual time is. I guess I just have a good internal clock.

When you got to bed. Slightly tap your head on the pillow the amount of hours you want to sleep to arise. So you tap 1 and then tap 2 and so on for the amount of hours, so if you tap 7 then you will wake up in 7 hours time.

I am impressed, I am really impressed indeed. But do you think this habit can be developed. I think no, at least no for a person like me.

Seriously? I hope you are not joking, do you do this yourself or have you heard this from someone else?

All you can do is give it a try. It might take a few times to get there and then again it may never happen.

I did it a long time ago. It did seem to work. It might have just been my natural sleeping pattern. I don't know if it will work' for you, but I'm not the only person to try it.

I'm the opposite - I've never needed an alarm clock.
