Wait a second, no one even mentioned the war on drugs.

The war on drugs sucks up millions of taxpayer dollars.

The war on drugs has created a black market which funds organised criminals and even terrorists al over the world.

With legal drugs, a user knows what he is getting and is at less risk. With black market drugs the user never knows the exact potency and purity of the drug, making the risk of overdose much greater.

Legal drugs would be much cheaper. Addicts are less likely to commit crimes when their $50 a day habit only costs $5 a day.

People die in the war on drugs every day. Can we get a body count for this war? This ridiculous war on inanimate objects.

Why aren't the politicians listening to the people?

Yeah, not to mention legalizing drugs will cut funding to groups like the taliban and al queda, because that is where they get their money from, but ohh, can't do that now, no terror groups=no fear mongering....guess we won't see an end to the drug war...

    Peace and Love,

Well, the WoD helps justify the existence of a domestic surveillance apparatus, as well as the militarization of domestic law enforcement, both of which assist in pacifying domestic dissent on a broadrange of issues.

The WoD also creates a need for lots of police and prison cells, providing employment and lucrative construction contracts for campaign contributors.

The WoD helps prop up the liquor/beer industry by creating a legal monopoly on intoxicants.

It is not in the FINANCIAL INTEREST of the RepubliCrats to question the WoD. Therefore, they will never do so. The only parties questioning it were independents like Nader, the Greens, and the Libertarians.
