The space craft Voyager, sent on its very long voyage in 1977 has finally left our solar system and is now heading into deep space. It has some antique technology to communicate with any intelligence it may encounter out there and we naively gave instructions as to where we are. Of course all us Trekkers anticipate such a return of a machine that meets other artificial intelligence cultures. According to ST:TMP we can expect to see a return in about 400 years as Vger.
When I saw that on the news last night I immediately thought of the Star Trek movie about finding it. Best wishes Voyager.
