I'm talking about falling asleep standing up and barely keeping your eyes open. I'm also looking into vitamins that regulate body temperature. I'm cold, yet my body is hot and clamy. This particularly occurs when I'm tired. I was looking into taking iodine for temperature regulation. Do you think that is a good vitamin? Right now, I'm taking a multivitamin and vitamin D.
A doctor can do a test to see what vitamins you are deficient in. Blindly taking vitamins without knowing what your body needs is kind of useless. You will just pee out all the excess. It's probably good to know if it really is a vitamin deficiency or if you have a different issue too.
Get tested for Narcolepsy. You may simply be on an a different sleep cycle then normal. Another word, get your internal clock reset. See an acupuncturist Just to be safe, get a Thyroid check
Interesting. Didn't know there was such a test. What is the name for it? I wouldn't mind taking vitamins just until I know what is actually going on. You know how things take forever when you take the doctor route. I want something to tie me over now.
Give me examples of food with more fat and less carbs. And do you mean taking a B-complex where you get a range of B vitamins?
I don't know I'm not a doctor, it's probably a few tests in reality. I went to my doctor a few years ago with similar complaints and said i thought it was a vitamin deficiency. She took a few samples and told me a week later which vitamins I needed. Apparently I am low in iron, vitamin d, and b12. The first two were probably pretty obvious though, since I'm a woman and live somewhere with loooong winters.
Yea, I'm starting to think it has something to do with my thyroids. Not sure what you mean by getting tested for narcolepsy or getting my internal clock reset. Acupuncture and chiropractherpy, I can't afford.
methyl-b12 ... it's a more natural form of b12 that your body can utilize better than the common synthetic b12. Also, try taking 2-3g L-tryrosine per day. I don't think this is considered a vitamin (it's an amino acid) but it can give you a boost in energy and motivation since it is a precursor to dopamine.
yes, a b complex consist of many of the b vitamins. but they make a special one that also gives you energy. Good sources of fat: coconut oil ground beef cheese avocados olive oil ghee butter macadamia nuts As for less carbs.. all the ones i listed above lol. But soem good carb sources are jasmine rice and sweet potatos. Make sure to eat them with fat or protein though because they have a high GI index. you also need to eat a lot of green vegetables. and maybe start taking a pro biotic.
Sorry, it took me forever to get back on this thread. I have been sleeping. Lol. Seriously, I sleep a lot and I'm still tired and freezing cold. Anyways, I'll try the suggestions. Thanks, everyone.
I used to prefer foods that hit fatigue. I avoid processed foods like fries and cheeseburger, avoid caffeine, eat fresh food and take some supplementary medicines by consulting with my doctors.
Would help to know your gender and age. You should get a check up, could be thyroid. B vitamins are good for energy but you should have blood work done to see if you are deficient in anything.
Do you snore? Sleep apnea may be part of the problem. if you do. It robs your body of REM time which is an absolutely necessary part of the sleep cycle. REM time (rapid eye movement) is what happens when you are dreaming and if you are having difficulty breathing, your body will attempt to wake you up and disrupt that healing cycle. No matter how many hours you spend with your eyes closed and resting, if you aren't getting enough REM time, you'll feel fatigued. If you snore.. get tested for apnea.
