Virgin Birth.

    Someone pointed out online that according to Christian belief, Jesus was born of a virgin, meaning he would only have female chromosomes. Therefore, based on this belief, Jesus would not have had any male chromosomes.

    I told them, you're missing the point. The point of poetic fiction. Like on Like on "The Child" (Star Trek: TNG, Season 2, Episode 1, air date Nov. 21, 1988), when Dr. Pulaski explains to Capt. Picard that Counsellor Troi's child in her virgin birth, is the same as her in every way, though male. And she goes on "In fact, there is nothing to indicate that there are any genetic patterns other than hers." That's nonsense. It if had the same DNA as hers, it couldn't be male.

    Is a little blind faith too much to ask anyone?
