video games tripping

I know that there are better things to do on acid, but how many have played video games? Do you play better or worse? What games are real cool?

The last time i fried i played Super Smash Bros. a bunch. The only thing that was awesome was how your character is an extension of yourself and when you concentrate, it can be pretty cool. Also because I'm good enough at that game to barely put effort in what i'm doing, i listen to my thoughts as they are significantly different than sober while the game is just background. As for visual entertainment, it didn't do much for me.

I think the visuals didn't do a lot for me cuz i didn't feel connected to it really, but do you think that is because it was just on a tv? or because it'd be hard for a machine to 'connect' with you regardless of graphics (even if it were like virtual reality)?

smash brothers is the shit... mario kart too.. i wouldnt mind playing for a bit whilst tripping but i prefer to try and master manipulating my visual field.. and playing with that

 

Yes Katamari!!! and mario kart!! Both my first two choices. People here really know whats up.

You can also try playing a blank screen. I just picked up a controller and started playing an all blue screen, my visuals were moving with the controller, best damn game I ever played!

either you have never eaten real lsd or your just a complete loser whos really good at video games....

 

Try Rockband (drums), it's actually pretty enjoyable and it boosted by trip.

 

i play a lot of unreal tournament (multi player) on acid and i noticed that iam a lot better at it when tripping

 

The OP made a comment about how your character can become an extension of yourself while tripping. That is so true. It reminds me of an experience I had back in '83 in California while playing Risk with some friends. I know it's not a video game. But anyway, we were all tripping on some Red Dragon blotter. It was good shit. I had two hits. I was doing pretty good in the game, had North and South America, then the acid really started to kick in, and I started making mistakes and fucking up. It's hard to explain, but I was tripping so hard, the boundary between the game and reality began to blur, and then disappear, as I began to feel that the scenario was real, and that the fate of the western hemisphere was actually in my hands. And I was losing. I finally quit the game and somehow managed to walk home, where I basically downed a 12 pack of beer and watched tv until the trip mellowed out.

 

We are tripping playing risk right now. We need to wake up from this game, its just a game. There is not really america and middle east fighting, its just a stupid game we got to in to. We are really just a sea of eternal bliss, this is all just a video game, a play, a fun game, but still at the most a game.

I was trying to play Nazi Zombies while on 'shrooms and I just plain sucked. I felt more like spinning my guy in circles than shooting zombies.

Video games are pretty awesome tripping. Zelda is just cool as fuck to be link. Mario Kart is so awesome, you just get so into the race. I actually do exceptionally well at it when tripping

 

I wish I could be link all the time....

I learned how to play Rock Band on 5-meo-amt. I played for like 8 hours tripping balls. I don't even know how my brain actually made my fingers hit the right keys on the guitar or bang the right drum. They just did it, it was amazing. I don't play video games at all, but I now want RB Beatles Edition so I can have RB trip parties. I had a fucking blast and out RB'ed the drunkies I was playing with. By the end I was guitaring and singing with the 1 last band member as the drummer, and we kicked ass at the song "Lump". Then we went home. Id on't think I could play an actual game though while tripping, I don't ever play them normally. I think the music had alot to do with me enjoying the RB for sure.

 

I've tried a couple of video games on acid, The simpsons video game, and Assassin's Creed Revelations.
I never really want to play a game while tripping, but sometimes on the comedown it sounds like a great thing since sleeping doesn't seem to work! I once thought that a video game could be really cool, maybe you could get sucked into a world! But no, something is missing from it like you said OP

I was surprised to find however, that AC Revelations was trippier than the simpsons game. The simpsons game was confusing and I was running in circles in retrospect haha! And if you know that game, it's whacky as it is, it just was like

Then AC Revelations was incredible! I was kind of sucked into a world, but instead of doing anything, I walked slowly in the streets. And I felt the connection to that part of the world, as many people in the game sit smoking hookah (I think..) and it made me think a lot. The colors were more real, and in a way more vibrant. Very colorful city, and the sky was fucking insane, the clouds trip in the game world too haha!

I think it's fun to try to play games to be honest, but I'd never make it the highlight of my trip. I've been obsessed with skyrim and I think I may try that. As long as I stay in the castle walls, otherwise I'll freak the fuck out!! haha, one thing is: while on acid, every line and word the people say you think about sooo much, and you don't want to go down the wrong trail of thought, so you have to be careful what they may say before you try it.

With me, the trippiest parts are when you are pulled into an illusion. Which first have to be real. By which I mean, something you take seriously should go deeper. Mario, the simpsons, it's soo ridiculous that it won't go as deep. That's what I've experienced so far at least. I have to be dragged, I can't be the one pushing for the illusion
