New member, but have been reading the forums for quite some time now. I've just recently started using lsd (4 months ago) about 4-5 times a month. Im a college student, but I do not abuse it, I use it privately for exploring my mind. It's really been a profound experience, Ive been using it to discover myself, and I never knew an experience like lsd was possible until I tried it. What really frustrates me is how I am looked at now that I use lsd. My best friends, look at me as a "druggie" and the acid junkie etc jokes are non stop. No matter how much I try to explain to them that its very ignorant to assume something about a substance without research they laugh. I find it very funny, it seems the whole world arounds us is filled with ignorance and misconceptions about lsd. Cocaine is used here at my school like cigarettes were smoked back in the 50s, "Its the cool thing to do" however you are frowned upon if you use lsd a drug nowhere near the danger cocaine places on young adults today. It really is a frustrating world.[IMG]

Yeah that is pretty annoying, a lot of people are ignorant to the effects of LSD, or even why it is used sometimes. I mean LSD can be more harmful than other stuff, but isn't that only true while your on the stuff (incase you freak out)? I haven't really heard of anything bad about LSD besides the little 'underlying mental issues' vulnerabilty and HPPD. The same friends of mine who look at it all hardcore are the same friends I have who smoke cigarettes, or drink all the time. But I guess those would be an expected habit by the norms, wouldn't it?

It's just something most people won't get until they try it, but if you try explaining that philosophy to them they'll probably think you are drugged out anyway, lol. I have the side of friends who are like 'You're crazy I'd never try that shit / bla bla / stuck in spine FEREVERR', and then the other side who likes to drop acid aswell.

Yes, even the new drug rankings that are out place LSD well below alcohol and tobacco, almost at the bottom of the list...worst thing is I know so many people who do coke, some my friends ironically, the ones that give me a hard time about lsd, coke is the new cigarette in college ad unfortunately it is the second most harmful drug on this new chart found here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/6474053.stm

i find that i am only truly respected when people either dont know that i use LSD or when people are ok with my use because they use it themselves. if people dont use LSD themselves and they find out that i have used tones of it they loose respect for me completely. their complete misunderstanding of the drug becomes their complete misunderstanding of who i am.

still - if i was given the chance to go back and do it all again - i would. (i wouldnt change a thing!)

Don't let it bother you man. Let the ignorant be ignorant if they have no desire to learn. I must say though, 4-5 times a month is kind of a lot, especially for someone who just started. If you keep up that pace you might decide LSD is a little more "dangerous" than you once thought. But, I don't mean to lecture at all. I personally would just considering cutting back a little - you will probably get more out of your trips if you keep it to once every month or two, anyway.

Mmm, yeah i find that too.
I've done cocaine, obviously, but the stuff i get told off for doing are things like Ketamine and LSD.. which are WAY less dangerous than coke and stuff.
    These people need EDUCATION!
    :D

That is very understandable, I've only been dosing that much because of my fairly new experiences with it, kind of exloring the drug.It has not affected me negatively yet, however I've already decided to slow down, 1-2 a month seems very rational. Im just still very bothered by how lsd is portrayed everywhere. Whenever you read an article on a drug, it is compared to "almost as dangerous as LSD" Utter bullshit, Im going to try but I can not get over it no matter how much I try. I was questioned today by a university librarian over WHY I was looking for the book Acid Dreams to check out. I really could not believe it, I told her "to be educated" and she simply laughed. The ridicilousness of this world....
