I bought an astrology book back in 1980.It turned out to be all lies.Absolute rubbish. It had only negetive results in my life and produced none of the things the it promised. Some of the things it said about my were laughably inaccurate.

Ever considered that if you are in conflict with someone, it may be because one of you has something to teach the the other or maybe both. Essentially asking the wrong question.

What book did you read? It may not be a good book to start to understand yourself with using astrology. I reccomend "Parker's Astrology" for a beginner. That, and "Astrology, A Cosmic Science" by Isibel Hicky. Don't give up, there is a lot of truth to be found in astrology.

It was a big A4 book I bought from W.H.Smiths in 1980.A couple of years later I read in it that I was supposed to be overweight. At the time I was 63-65kg and 178cm -well below the perfect body-mass index. These days I am more like 178kg now the perfect body mass index. Oh that reminds me there is a user in hipforum called Pablo. He is a Capricorn.Yet he would be one person in hipforums who I would have absolutly no desire to meet in real life.He wrote about me ,
"Bilby weighs 203kg or 4 hundredweights."
    Stupid boy.
It was not only the bit about being overweight that was way off the mark, but it also said that I am someone who gets married several times.Excuse me but am 44yo and have never been married.Furthermore the book said I was a hard worker.I had no kind of a work ethic untill I was 30.Again highly misleading.
In retrospect the book was a waste of resouces and a waste of time.Just another way of making money.

Taurians are one of the hardest signs to distinguish...but I think this is the most accurate discription I could find:
    ------------------------
    Taurus[IMG]
Your sign is that of earthy Taurus, the second sign of the zodiac, the sign characterized by endurance and sensuality. Taurus is also associated with material goods.

Venus, the planet of love and beauty, is your ruler, and makes you a very warm and faithful person. For the most part you are even-tempered and show a great capacity for affection, as well as an appreciation for beauty and art. You are loyal and reliable. You keep your promises.

As the first of the three earth signs, you are realistic, patient, and persistent. You are the most grounded sign of the zodiac, preferring to put down roots and aiming for stability.

Comfort, even luxury, is very precious to you. And indeed, you rule the second house, the sector of the horoscope that encompasses money and possessions. This house describes your value systems, including the value of oneself.

Your sign is a fixed sign, dear Taurus, meaning you enjoy responsibility and taking charge. However, you are not a doer - you are a delegator! Like every genuine Taurus, it may take you longer to get involved with something, but once you do, you don't want to stop. You are more passive than active, and prefer to have the world move around you while you sit still and direct.

Your strengths lie in your decision-making abilities; you don't make snap judgments or jump to conclusions. You engage in careful consideration, as hastiness and impulsive actions do not appear in your script. In your relationships, you are fully committed and faithful, and you seek harmony and inner peace.

But you too have a few weaknesses. One trap you may fall into is that of obstinacy and self-righteousness. Due to your firm beliefs, you are deaf to any kind of criticism. This inflexibility can cause you to resist change and procrastinate. You run the risk of becoming lazy, overindulgent, or convinced of your own infallibility.

Not true...that discription doesn't fit me much at all (besides the thoroughly thought out, and artistic parts...)

What didn't fit in your discription? My discription always fits me perfectly...it wouldn't fit you though.

    Not particularly in my case.

Ok what sign is not associated with material goods? Even tramps have some material possesions.A relative term.
That is all matter of perception. These things cannot be measured .They are subjective.
So you are disloyal and unreliable? I am very much of a loner
    I didn't know that I kept promises.
That is a matter of opinion.there is no such thing as a correct or incorrect opinion.
I would drive out into the sunset tomorrow but it is not practical thing to do right now.

    Not really.

I only own one house. It doesn't really describe my value system.

This one is a classic as I am a great DIY person and if I have one weekness it is that I Like to do everything myself.
    Nonsence.

When you drive a vehicle or work professionally in a kitchen it is essential to make quick decisions.
    Sometimes I do.
That would depend on how important the decisions was.
I am a chef.We chefs are as hasty as you can get.
The behavior of animals and stone age peoples.
    What sign does not?
Well if that is the case , why do I come to hipforums everyday?Or for that matter visit other forums.

Essentially it is a very inaccurate description of me as I am single and a bit eccentric.Even if it was an accurate description of me, what useful purpose could it serve?

lol...Max power was a taurus, it was pretty accurate for him! Eventhough he thought it would fit anyone..--which it didn't .

Some of those things are probably inaccurate, because you have a different moon sign, probably a totally different one too (say...if your moon's virgo, you'd be shyer....and stuff)
tell me where you were born, and when.Let's see if that'd be more accurate...when I did it it was a total bull's eye.
oh...and about the house, that wasn't meant as your personal house, it was about the house your sign rules.

I looked it up. It said things like " You never have enough time to do the things you want to do". That applies to most of us.

    Quote from report,
"You are a steadfast and patient soul, capable of tremendous devotion, dedication, endurance, and constancy. The ability to follow through and stick with things is one of your greatest assets. Once your course is set, you pursue it tenaciously until it is completed, stubbornly resisting any attempts to sway you from your purpose. Find out more with your full-length report...

Section 2: Mental Interests and Abilities
Outspoken and direct, you are always eager to express your ideas and opinions and don't mind opposing the consensus and stirring up a little controversy. You have fresh, original ideas and much enthusiasm for anything new and untried, but once the novelty has worn off, you are interested in another new idea or project. You never seem to have enough time to do all you want to. You are very honest, speak decisively and convincingly about things you believe in, and are unable to pretend to agree with someone if you honestly don't. You may be somewhat deficient in tact. Find out more with your full-length report"

Look at the first paragraph Then look at the second and it contradicts the first.Ha!
