i went to subway to get my veggie sandwich today at lunch and they asked if i wanted veggie patties on it! i did not know they even had them. i declined, i shoulda asked about em but does anyone know the deal with the subway veggie patties?????????
I had the subway veggie patty. It was really good. I don't know the brand they use, or exactly what vegetables are in it. But, overall, the flavor, and.. like texture is good. You know how sometimes, the veggie patty is either crumbly, or too soft.. and just icky. Well, this isnt like that. lol. Next time I stop in Subway, I'm going to ask about it though.
I get them all the time at subway. At my local subway, I'm their best customer. I don't even have to say a word. I walk in, and they know exactly how i want it! I dunno if the veggie max patty is vegan though. You'd be best asking customer services.
I get the veggie patty when I can. Not all of the Subways in my town have them. I asked for it at one restaurant, and the girl behind the counter refused to make it for me and had another girl do it for her; she said she was allergic to them.
I've never even heard of this... this sounds rather interesting... It's either new or unadvertised... I don't eat subway much... I usually go for the non-chain italian pizzarias for subs... there happen to be quite a few gourmet (one shop has a vegan menu as well) in the area that are quite better...
Hmmmm, Subway has veggie patties? I have been trying to cut carbs and lose some weight.... I'll do it!
they werent on the menu but you can ask for em, i still havent tryed it and there isnt much around here in the way of veggie/vegan friendly. i am in a town of meat eating rednecks. LOL nothing against the rednecks... god love em!
Sounds good I walk past a subway almost every day. Note to self: inquire if they are available in the UK.
yeah they do have em, they just don't promote it. You can also get them heated up over here - which is nice in winter. However, in terms of taste and $$ I prefer the vegetables only sub. Here, if you have a Radio One card (it's the local student radio station) You can get a foot long sub, a drink and biscuit for $5.15, or if you don't take their deal you can get a 6 inch sub and a drink for $5.50. Now does that seem silly to anyone else?
I used to work at subway and I ate them all the time. I'm not really sure what is in them though. I wouldn't eat them anymore, but that's because I ate them twice a day for two months.
I'm in the Uk, and I have been to three subways. (One in preston, one in blackpool, and one in cleveleys, where i live) All of them have the veggie max patty. I think it is available throughout the UK. I don't know. I sent an email to subway a while ago, asking a fair few questions, and whether the veggie max was available throughout the country was one of them. unfortunately, they haven't replied. Anyway, at my local subway, it's great. They know me. I walk in there, and i don't even have to say anything if the right people are there. And they definitely train their staff well. I'm not all that fussy over the whole contamination issue, although it does put my mind to rest, but there was a new guy on, so I asked for a veggie max, and the first thing he did was get now gloves, and he even cleaned the knife before cutting the footlong into two, as if it was a routine thing. So I can give my local subway a thumbs up. I haven't heard back from that email, but the questions I asked were: Is the veggie max available at all outlets in the UK? Are the cookies vegetarian? Is there rennet in the cheese? Do any of the sauces contain anything nonvegetarian, such as worcestershire sauce made with anchovies? What is there for vegans at subway? I haven't heard back though. if there's anyone here who is familiar with UK subways, and you do have the answers to any of those questions, then post them up. I'm itching to know!
I don't know if the veggie patty is available in my area. Is this in the United States and has anyone seen it in Florida. On a sidenote: I went to the subway webpage to try and find information. They have a link to their sandwiches that are vegetarian or seafood. I clicked on it and included on the page was the "Cold Cut Combo" :: The Cold Cut Combo is a Subway tradition. Experience sliced turkey** bologna, turkey** ham and turkey** salami with your choice of fresh vegetables and condiments served on freshly baked bread. **Pork based in Canada Uhm, is it just me or is this not at all vegetarian OR even seafood? Why the hell is this on this page. Ugh.
For those interested, the patties are vegetarian. They are not strictly vegan. There are available in all Australian subway outlets.
Hmm this is interesting, I used to work at Subway and we had nothing of the like, it was a while ago though. And honestly the regular veggie sub is a waste to me, I never understood why anyone would get that, there's not a lot of choice and it's nothing more than you could do at home for far less, but I guess that is just me. If they had eggplant subs or something of more variety and excitement maybe but anyway I will have to look into that.
I would consider myself a vegan because i eat no dairy or meat, but if i went out to eat and there was a veggie burger, even if it wasnt strictly vegan, I would still buy it just for the principle of it, so they would get more sales and maybe increase their veggie options. Peace and Love, Dan
is the BREAD (rolls) in Subway Vegan? a lot of those bog rolls seem to have eggs and milk in them!?!?!?
