This poses a bit of a dilemma for me. Paintballing is fun but however there is one side of it that I am stuck about. The paintball shells are made from geletin. Do they make vegetarian paintballs? just wondered like. Matt
It might just be me, but having a major dillema over paintballs seems slightly anal. I mean how many times a year do you paintball? It's not like something you do everyday. Lighten up and realise that you cant be perfect all the time and that the chances of them changing the paintball shells for this reason are pretty slim.
Your just gonna have to live with it man. It's not like I'm quiting the force because my boss told me to turn in my badge, fuck that man!
Do what you feel is right. Everyone has their own views on pureity, we can't totally eliminate animal suffer, but should do so to the best of our abilities; taking into account lifestyle, awareness and concience. Wasn't aware of the paintball/gelatin issue, thanks for bringing it up. I don't go paintballing so it's not really a problem.
Camera film is also made of gelatin, then there's glue and all that stuff. It is impossible to be completely vegan. It's nice that you're asking, but I don't think they make them. Oh, but remember, they can also make gelatin out of seaweed extract, so there's always a chance!
It's nice that you're thinking about reducing cruelty in even the little things in your everyday life, so just ignore the idiots and trolls. Think about it this way: gelaten is only used because it is so cheap and plentiful. By being veg, you are already boycotting the main reason for killing the animals. When more people go veg, there will be fewer animals being slaughtered and thus less by-products, so companies will have to use other materials in paintballs and similar products. Until then, remember that no one is 100% 'pure' and you do what you can in your current situation.
you could have a rock for the button you push to take the picture..... and you can have crystal lenses and the box can by made out of leaves
Never tried that, sounds cool. As for cameras, I use the digital camera. It's not that compassionate though, especially not towards my Dad's blood pressure. He fusses way too much over his toys.
didn't realise they woz gelatin - just thought they were som kind o plastic - I guess u could make them of cellolose maybe, like the cellulose medicine caps I buy to swop over meds from. doubt they make em tho. can't beleive other vegetarians are flaming you tho - your trying to be thoughful & as consistant as possible - it's difficult - as to the flamers your posts say mor about you than the poster.
