hell no, I eat cute fuzzy little animals saturated in their own blood and blood based sauces..... I'd be the last person to talk to and putting it here pulled me like a magnet.....
More of a selection according to who's posting in the middle of the night as opposed to a serious vegetarian post. Sorry. I'll go post on forums that are dead right now. I do suppose random thoughts can't include particular topics.
Well you can post pretty much what ever but if you want a serious vegetarian discussion then the vegetarian forum is probably better

Nah... I've actually been thinking about it lately. The thing is, I'm trying to put on weight, and thats not really good for a vegie diet, I'm in great health, and I don't buy any of the contemporary veggie health myths. I also know the veggie, 'we could feed the world' thing are complete bullshit... I'm majoring in agronomy/chemistry, and that stuff is so soft. I could type out a really long answer if you want, but I'm afraid I might bore ya. I also love the taste of meat, and to be honest, I don't really feel for the cow... my grandparents had a ranch when I was a kid and they're violent disgusting animals... chickens are even worse. And the last thing is... humans, wouldn't be human without eating meat. There was a clear short period in our homonid evolution where our brains nearly tripled in size, and that was right about the time we switched from a herbivourous diet, to eating lots of fish, scallops, and anything else we could catch. Eating animals made us have the mental capacity to even think that eating another thing would be immmoral. I mean, there are still millions of people on earth who are slaves... and any time I hear Ingrid Newkirk and her PETA gang call animals slaves is offensive. But I'm kinda coming to my personal conclusion that, even though everything I've typed above is true... I can still obtain everything from a veggie diet... I dunno how the vegans really do it, and it wouldn't work for my dietary needs, but I can manage everything on a veggie diet. And although we do owe our evolution to being hungry killer apes... we don't really need to kill anything to maintain our health or mental development anymore. I wouldn't want some alien who was far evolved from me eating me just cause he could and I was tasty. I mean, if I were really contributing to some higher form of life that'd be cool, but not just cause I'm delicious. I think as people evolve, we can, and probably should move to a more efficient and more harmonious way of getting sustainence, and we can do this through vegetarian stuff in whatever year this is. So yeah, I'm thinking of giving it a shot. Gonna take it nice and slow though, start out eating fish and easing myself off the meat jitters. Anyway, sorry if that was kinda long winded... I just can't sleep and I was thinking about this the other night.
