Vegan Threads?

As I am learning more about veganism, I'm realizing that alot of things I didnt know came from animal cruely, does come from animal cruelty. Down comforters being one. Cashmere being another. I knew about leather and wool, but some of the not so obvious I didnt know. And there are probably alot more I dont know about. Can anyone tell me a bit more about those types of things and what I should stay away from? Or reccomend a good site to visit? Am I right in saying that Velvet comes from animals as well?

Some velvet is made from silk. So, in some cases, yeah, it comes from animals. I'm pretty sure that acrylic velvet is available, too, though.
