Vandalizing "support the troops" ribbons

There are some idiots in my town who are taking the "Support the Troops" magnet off of cars and replacing them with poorly scribbled ones that say "war is greed, war is murder, shame" with the flag crossed out.
Three women in their 20's were witnessed doing this yesterday by a war vet, of all poeple.

Note to those losers: No one loves war, but those troops are allowing you idiots to have the freedom to do this crap. You should try living in a country where you would be KILLED for doing something like this. Or perhaps you'd like to live in a Nazi occupied country in about 1942....

Thats the whole point.. they don't live in a country where they are killed for doing it. They're using their freedom of speech. Some people don't like war, some people do..

 

Basicaly, those soldiers are fighting for the right for people to be able to disagree with them fighting.

 

No, it isn't the point. It isn't about war, it's about the troops. DON'T support the war, support the men and women who are trained to protect your country.

 

I suppose.. it's a bit pointless to be taking down the support for troops without the peoples permission.. but it's fine if people want to oppose the war and not support the troops.

I dont think ud say "support the troops" if they were in a genocide of a million or 2 Americans.
I thought we stopped the "I was only obeying orders " line at Nuremberg.
America in Iraq is as much to do with freedom or protection as a Rabbi has with the pork pie industry.
But thats just my opinion , oh and a few billion others...

 

Comparing the Iraq "war" with world war 2 sounds a little ignorant, to say the very least. Completely unconnected situations. I wouldnt trash up someones car, but i share their views. That in no way means i am ungrateful for what i have and those brave men who fought in ww2, it means i oppose a sloppy invasion and dont see why we should hold up the men who choose to be part of that

 

they aren't fighting for any of my freedoms. i'm sorry. no one over in Iraq, including my friends that will be sent there are fighting for any freedom of mine

A million civillians killed ( and countless more will die from depeleted uranium shells and disease) just so Hussein couldnt start selling oil in Euros?( and I got that from the senior analyst at an American bank).And you ask me why we shouldnt "hold up" the perpetrators?

Still no one raped and murdered your family -if u feel that strongly about oil why dont u pop over to Baghdad and torture a few Arabs yourself?

personally I think that's pathetic, to have to vandalize someone elses car who supports the troops to get your point across. I'd be pissed if that was my car. Youcan disagree all you want, but don't touch my shit.

 

while i appreciate the sentiments of the 20ish looking women, i don't think their efforts changed anyone's heart

 

aside from stealing or vandalizing someone's personal property and refusing them the right to express their opinions and beliefs, i don't see anythin wrong with it.

 

But the point is , ure comparing murdering as many civillians as Boston has by napalm or TNT , to some minor vandalism

Personally Id rather have my car trashed than the latter.
They should count emselves lucky they arent picking their limbs up in the rubble of their own living rooms.

 

I removed one of those stickers and put it on the car beside it once... So someone else could support the troops.

you know, in a generalized, animalistic sense, i don't really mind war so much. it's the particulars that bug me.

at any rate, putting a magnet or sticker on your own car isn't forcing anything down anyone's throat. if you don't support the troops, put the sticker on your own car. fuckin with someone else's shit IS forcing it down other people's throats.

in addition, there's loads of people who support the troops who consider the best way to support the troops is to get them the hell out of there.
