i just wanted to share this painting with everyone, i've been looking at it for a few days now, its called vampire, by edvard munch, it was painted 1893-4 and i just think its a beautiful example of expressionism.

i really love munchs work, and this one inparticular is my favorite

why don't you tell us what you've found out about the expressionist movement, any other artists you like (whether that be during experssionist movement, people he was inspired by or people who are inspired by him)?

yep! i will do that, although at the moment i dont know much about painters that were expressionist appart from munch

    i will read more! hehe

but i really like this painting, its a vampire drawing blood, but on the otherhand i also think that it is a woman comforting a man, maybe a strong emotional comment upon love as a vampire? just a thought
