Valentine's day in nine days, and I'm single.

My boyfriend dumped me a few weeks ago. I had our gifts ready for us too. I made us rings out of hemp. I'm probably going to sell them now.

Darn you, Hallmark. You made a holiday where all the single people feel like crap while everyone else is eating their faces off with chocolate boxes.

meh, when i was single my friends and i often just hung out together. one year nearly all of us were single on vday so we had a big buffet that me and on other friend cooked... vegetarian spring rolls, vegetarian sushi, angel food cake, chocolate fondue, all sorts of sugary lovely things. its a good excuse to go hang out with your friends (if theyre available to, of course)

Yeah. Hang with friends. "Get high with a little help from my friends.". I'm single this V-day and I'm going to play a gig and see an awesome concert so I'm excited.

 

valentines day isn't so special really. anyone can make any day special or romantic if they please. so maybe you should save those rings, cause they sound sweet, until you find another cool cat you could give one to

I remember a time when for some fucked up reason I always got stuck a lone for Christmas and Valentines day.

In fact, for a long time it seemed I had a season for relationships, spring and summer, and fucked for the other half of the year.

HAHA.

Seriously it's not a big deal, it's one day, treat it like any other holiday you don't celebrate sometimes/always.

Like Good Friday....who celebrates that day?

well, look at it this way you could be in a relationship with an asshole that beats you, or you could be in a relationship with someone who doesn't even care if it is valentine's day or doesn't care about you. i'm just sayin' you don't have it as bad as some people. i am picking up a friend in a few who just had her face smashed in by her bf so i think being alone on v-day isn't the end of the world. sorry i'm pissed and bitter tonight. you'll be ok, there are tons of singles on v-day, go out and mingle.

instead of getting totally drunk with my friends,
ill have to be carefull not to get drunk,
otherwise i might just drunk-dial him madly or go to his (ex-ours) place and bang bang on the door or whatever......
