So my electric company wanted a breathtaking amount to turn on my electric. $400. I'm going to be staying here for another 3 weeks... So, now I'm pirating electric. I'm thinking I might as well go balls to the wall and mold a key for the cable box too. I was slightly nervous, but then I found out the fine for tampering with utilities was $500... I have no dea why so high. My credit's good. I can only assume their bastards.
Hahaha, that's hilarious... 400$ utilities, 500$ fine. I say go for it, just don't make 'em suspect it, ya know?
It's upfront. They'd pay me back when I canceled service if I had no outstanding fees, but it's just a ridiculous amount upfront. All I need to do is turn off the breaker between 9 and 5 when the reader would be by. They'll figure it out at the end of the monthly cycle (27th), but I'll be out of here before then. Everybody wins! Except TXU I guess. Whatever.
Cable's a 'lil trickier. The process is exactly the same, but theres a deadlock on there. Although the shop at the apartment complex *obviously* has a key grinder. Get a blank key, cover with soot, insert in lock. Grind off parts where there is no soot. You have a key. Fucking the system is our duty as citizens of free countries.
be careful with that shit dude.... an electric bill once found me 6 years down the line, long after I had moved out of the state. Collection agencies are not to be fucked with.
