Using lsd and playing Spyro on ps2?

My friend has spyro for ps2 and i think it would be amazing to play but would it be okay? Or has anyone had past experiences playing ps2 or an older gaming system

Spyro 2 is for ps1 but ps1 games work on ps2

 

Most people will say that video games are a waste of a trip. I think as long as you're enjoying yourself do whatever you feel like(within reason). If it turns out to not be very fun then you can very easily just stop playing. I'd love to play spyro while tripping just because I haven't played it in so many years and it holds a special place in my heart as a childhood memory.

 

Sure, that makes sense.

But for a first trip, it's not a good plan. If it's sitting there in a cabinet, and you're on acid and decide you want to play it, fucking get it out. If you plan it out and are sitting there as acid comes on, playing playstation..... and you peak, playing playstation.... at the very least, that's lame. At the worst, we all know....

Given the question, I think we can assume that his or his friends parents will be in the next room, but it will totally be okay because they only open the door to check on their 14 year old kid every.... hour or so. And they'll never notice if he's having a psychedelic freakout, if they only open the door every hour, it's not like they'd hear the pounding on the walls and screaming in terror. But it's cool, because his friend was at some older "friend's" house, and took one, and it was totally real acid and he saw shit and everything, super legit.....

When I first saw the thread topic I thought, right on! Spirograph! That would be way fun on LSD.
Now I'm bummed. But do have a good idea for the future. So, there's that.

Why are you just 100% positive it is nbome? Also i asked a very simple question just as would playing an old game i used love affect my trip in a bad or good way, but you just take it to consideration that i am 14 years old and think i have NO idea what i am doing.

 

This is why i wanted to play it, it will bring back such amazing memories of me playing it.

 

i never really played spyro. if it's a difficult game, that would probably not work out. if it's something where you can just run around and enjoy the music and scenery, it should be fun. i've had fun running around the first few levels of sonic 2 before, and also driving aimlessly around vice city.

 

I have a Super Nintendo Emulator on my phone and I tried to play Contra III: The Alien Wars when I was well into my most recent LSD trip and it started to let up a bit. The whole thing seemed pretty ridiculous and I didn't spend more than a few minutes trying to play that game.

Maybe if you have a legit setup where the screen and the visuals are really quality it'd be an interesting sensorial experience but even then I'd probably suggest video games on acid as a backup option to several other activities.

 

I've tried playing a few games while under the influence.
I usually stop when I realize just how rooted in violence the vast, vast majority of games are.
Then next day when back to "normal" I go back to the wanton slaughter of thousands of digital foes. LOL.

 

I know most people think they are gonna play a game like spyro and its gonna be all coming out the screen and bright and melting and twirling, etc. Well it defiantly can be like that, but there is some things you got to know.

Your visuals sort of build up in layers. If you look at something that is a still object your mind will start moving, then save that layer of movement, then build on top off that layer with another layer of movement, gradually getting more and more complex.

If you concentrate on something that is moving already sometimes it can take away from your vision, because you have to look outwardly at picture that is created by someone else, rather then looking into the images in your own mind and imagination that you create.

When things are rapidly moving such as in a video game, your mind doesn't have enough time to do the layering process because whats in your visual field keeps changing.

But there is two ways around this. One is a large dose, with a large of enough dose it doesn't matter what you do really, your gonna be cascaded with visual quality.

And the other thing to do is, just wait until you have been tripping for awhile, or maybe even coming down from the trip. If you have a really profound trip, and you let your mind do its thing, it will be an extrodinary episode of psychedelia. Then when you come down your visuals will be fully turned on, and then when you play the video game your mind is already layering everything, the process is already in motion and can now process the movements much faster and still get visual build up.

Depending on how your trip goes, sometime during the come up when the effects of the substance are really cooking into high gear is the best time. Because you visions are still very fresh and crisp which sometimes they can dull down during the come down.

But just don't get stuck playing a video game and losing you trip. There is so much more beyond video games. SO MUCH MORE! But I mean its all natural, if you take 1 tab of acid and feel it is a light load, you want some entertainment, so you play a game. If you end up taking 4 tabs of acid and you feel like your about to break on through to the other side, you'll probably put the controller down and forget about the video game.

I guess tho even if you don't care about the visionary quality, if you play on acid your still gonna feel a totally different perspective to the game. Maybe either really detached from the game, or the opposite thing being so in the game that it seems real. A hardcore gamer could probably get lost for days with the right dose and circumstances.

any suggestions on what to do when im on acid. I am going to be doing it around 2 in the morning. The sun rises like 6:30 where i am. I was gonna watch that. Besides that, what else is entertaining?

 

That's extremely late to be dropping LSD . . . you might still be going pretty solid at 2pm the next day, have you planned your whole week accordingly? This is not like getting high on weed, there is a good chance that you will need time to reflect on your experience and dosing that late you will definitely need recovery time. Just make sure you don't have school/work/any obligations to anyone for 2-3 days. Definitely don't do it with parents around.

Also RooR is right about the NBOME sadly . . . there is a better chance by far that you have that, rather than LSD. Just the way the world is right now, especially amongst younger people.

It sounds like you will be alone during the trip, if so, have lots of things available to do, much more than playstation, which you might get bored of/be unable to operate in hour 1 of 12. Have MUSIC, have movies, something psychedelic and pleasant/positive, nothing dark or cheesy or violence filled. You can try watching your favorite TV shows though I wouldn't recommend any crime drama for example. Comedies are ok, they can not make sense on psychedelics however, depending on the level of the comedy. Be able to go outside for a walk. Have access to nature, the outdoors, this is pretty key, you don't want to be stuck in your room for a 12 hour journey like this, you want to at least have the option of changing scenery here and there through the experience. Fresh air, lots of water, good healthy energy food, no candy or sugary synthetic crap.

How many hits are you getting? It is recommended that before you actually take your full trip, you take 1/4 of one tab and put it in your mouth. Hold it there for 10 minutes. If you experience a very strong taste and/or numbing of lips/tongue/mouth, then what you have is NBOME, and it's important to be very cautious with increasing dose as many many people have been hospitalized on it and several people have died.

Basically don't just eat 3 hits of some mystery drug even if your source swears its "acid".

 

Taking it with 2 friends, one really close, I think im going to take it a little earlier, like 12? or something. But my close friend is really sure and my other friend that did it, said he didnt taste anything strong. Were going to have a lot of music. Also im only taking one hit

 

Mhmm, and the very best thing to do on acid is nothing. When the experience becomes so strong that the experience itself is the only thing that occupies you. When you open your mind, you won't need tv, video games, music, or anything. The experience will be enough. It should take over your entire being!
