I am going to Spain this summer and I would like to bring my laptop. My question is how will I power/recharge it in Spain without burning it up. I've heard from many that the converters are not reliable enough to risk my computer. What is the best option?

If your charger says 110-240volts then you're cool. Most American laptops work fine in Europe without converters. The outlets put out more voltage in Spain (230 or 240, I can't remember) but most (99%) laptop chargers are built to handle the difference. I purchased my laptop in the States and it worked fine in Europe (including Spain) with just a simple $2 plug converter (read: NOT voltage converter). Hope this helps!
*note: other electronic chargers (electric razors, MP3 players, etc.) might need a voltage converter. My MP3 player didn't, but my electric trimmer did.
