Id just said something to another person about this. When I arrived in Kuwait/Iraq post 911, Ive only been there a month and a few days yet. Then on Dec 13 they capture Saddam, and Im faking myself out "good, now we can go home".. But that didnt happen.
Ive a new friend his name is Samuel, hes from Syria. He said last night this is what the middle east has been like his entire life and hes my age/50. But he said the last 7yrs had been the worst, they fled to Turkey and just made into the US, his wife is American..
All the want to do now is get high and forget about that nightmare, they seem to be holding up pretty well.

 

You have posted a bunch of other stuff too. I meet a lot of guys who claim to have done tours in Iraq and claim they went there to liberate people. Some are genuine and others are clearly not. Iraq has been under assault from American forces since January 1991. Barbra Slavin just posted that the main beneficiary from Trump's killing of Soleimani is ISIS. Soleimani and the Shia fighters knocked the snot out of ISIS and had them surrounded in Mosul, until US forces allowed them an escape route into Syria. A few months ago the ISIS fighters were let out of the safe Kurdish jails and back into the Iraq theater again. Iraq's forces have known for a long time that ISIS fighters drive fancy new American Dodge one ton pickup trucks, with the nice Cummins Diesel, or Ford F350 with Powerstroke, or the Chevy with the Duramax, or the Toyota Tundra which is made in Texas. It wouldn't take much to trace back the VIN numbers to see how they were bought and shipped from America to Iraq, maybe through Saudi Arabia? If you spent some serious time there, you must have noticed all the ISIS fighters with the fancy trucks and Rock Island M-16 rifles?
