Really a sinister plot to starve the worlds poor?
So what do you think, bio-fuel good or bad?
It takes 1 gallon of gasoline to make 1 gallon of biodiesel from corn.
Sugarcane is much more efficient to convert but that won't get the US Agro Conglomerates a big fat tax break now will it.
well, if we're using the food to make fuel, we'll have less to send to the world's poor.
meh. we SEND them more food than they grow. well, probably.
well, we have nothing to do with cuba anyway. AND the whole theory sounds bunk to me.
Ethanol is only marginally a biofuel. Biodiesel or WVO are more environmentally secure, though WVO wins out because biodiesel creates byproducts. The only byproduct of WVO is that your car smells like french fries.
And since we're going to get out of Iraq sooner than later, we need to stop worrying about what the third world has going on and start taking care of the homeless and impoverished HERE.
