Upstate NY community looking for ppl

Hey Everyone!!
We have 1 room available in an old farmhouse we are trying to fix up. We need 1 or 2 ppl to stay thru the winter who can help w/ heating cost, and electricity, as well as minor busy work, light switches, pipes, toilests, etc. This place needs to be kept up thru the winter and there are only 2 ppl here and we can't do it all. i am the only 1 paying the bills. We have internet, cable and phone which u won't be expected to share if u saty, just electric and heat. Ull have 2 take care of ur own food, but we do try at least twice/wk to have a sitdown meal.

Are jobs readily available up there? What level of "accomplishment" are you looking for in a person? Are you willing to take a young person such as myself who doens't know much but who is willing to learn (due to sharing common goals, etc)?

Where in NY is this? Catskills, or more north in the Adirondacks (sp)?

apparently sara hasn't been online or she would be responding to you guys. what i know about that project is that it is on 150 acres in amenia, ny which is at the end of a commuter rail line from nyc. so it is about 1 1/2 hours north of nyc near the connecticut border. it is very rural but still has good access to social activities since it is close to nyc and new paltz which is a progressive college town. it is a new project as bill bought the land a few months ago. there is an old farm house on the land where people are living and fixing up. he was also looking into buying more land across the road which has 4 barns. you can call them at sara xxx xxxxxxx or bill at xxx xxxxxxx. bill also has another community type project developing in that area. he also owns land near madison,wi where he would like to develop a community project. peace
