I have a meeting offsite in 45 minutes and I have no clue what it is about. I don't have to make a presentation or anything but it would be nice to know what it is about. That's what I get for not checking my schedule yesterday. I just know to be there.
Gosh I would have been shooting a message to the organizer for the agenda! I don't know not knowing what I'm walking into when I go into a meeting. It's those times they ask me for things I'm unprepared with.
I just got out a few minutes ago...i still don't know what it was about. Ha. Just kidding. Thank goodness it was nothing important. I figured it wasn't important or I would have put a reminder in my phone immediately when I got the email. We had donuts!
I though about texting another coworker to ask but I didn't want to let on that I forgot. If it was a meeting that I would have had a major part in I would have started getting stuff together immediately. I was just hoping that I wouldn't be asked any questions about something without reviewing first. My car is now warmed up, I'm relieved and I'm heading to our main office.
Meetings suck. That is a perk of being self employed. No more meetings. At my old job a "meeting" meant the boss was going to bitch us out for a bunch of stupid shit she thought we were doing wrong because she was off her meds again and she never gave us donuts.Meeting is a scary word for me.
:iagree: At my last job, we had 2 to 3 meetings per week. Did you get the memo about the memo about that meeting about meetings?
I had one of those in 1999, it turned out to be my last day at work....:-( But it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened for me! It was just such a shock at that moment in time.
The meetings I have are with my sons. Laughter, business and mmmmmmm-doughnuts. Self employment is the way to go, if one can do it.
Lucky!!!! I have at least 3 meetings per day. I especially enjoy the 3 hour meetings that take place in a conference room (meaning you're stuck) where only about 10 minutes of the meeting has retained in my mind. Thank goodness for my handy note taking skills! So literally 1/2 or more of my day is in meetings leaving the remainder for me to do the job that was once done by 4 people. Go figure lol
Lots of stuff. Plus many of these meetings are to discuss the meeting we just had. You know the "let not be productive method". I'm in no position to dictate how they do the meetings so I have no say. It is what it is
I didn't want to brag on HF, but yes, that's what the meeting actually turned out to be for...yeah right.
Luckily I don't have to go to that many. I'm not important enough to have to go to the daily meetings that our "higher ups" have.
I only like free donuts before meetings at work, oh and the ones I have to pay for outside of work, haha. I'm not supposed to be eating donuts on my diet - maybe that's why I am attracted to them so much.
