According to this report out of all the 'rich' countries in the world, Dutch children score the best on things like material well-being and education.
Too many it'll be no suprise that countries that score well are generally northern European countries and countries that score low are eastern European.
And to many it won't be a surpise that the US also scores very low.

    Bring it on, Americans!

can you post the source please.

I know that dutch parent are generaly over-protective and spoil their kids with material junk to compensate for not being available all the time due to work or other commitments.

I´m surprised that education scores so well.

Welnu spiraaltje, they have been doing well for a while and this report is not just about material well-being, it includes many other things too, like overweight.

    Another fun fact:
Childhood obesity levels are more than 10% in all countries except Denmark, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Only Canada, Greece and the United States have childhood obesity levels higher than 20%.

Who expected Greek kids to be overly obese?

Good thing most of these children when they grow up would probably be earning their own income so there would be enough money to support the welfare people

    good one Bird.

Bassie and Adriaan taught us about the tallest tree and the hottest dessert in the United States. the americans could use a clown and acrobat to teach them a few things about the rest of the world.

:D The friends of every (dutch) kid are a thankful matter for meme's and internet jokes. I have to admit I especially like the cruel ones because of the contrast naturally :cheers2:
