Unexplained Closed Thread?

That's odd. I just created a thread that was non-controversial and it was closed with no post or explanation.

Yeah it was quick, i think that perhaps it was because it was a game thread?

Games are only allowed in personal forums as permitted by the personal moderator, and in the pure bull forum as well.

A) Discriminatory. Considering there are 1,000 game threads on R.T.

B) Confusing. There was no explanation or nothing. Just a thin-air, out-of-the-blue deal.

Oh well, I'll email Skip later on and ask him about it. Maybe something I missed in the Rules.

Not to cause trouble, but I based my information off of this thread. I assume then, that this no longer applies?

 

game threads arent allowed, as I do close all other game threads. they tie up the server with nonsense....

 

There are a hundred "game" threads in R.T.

I am just shocked that mine got closed, that's all.

show me these game threads, and I will close them as well. Im not always around to see every one of them. If you show them to me, it will be done.

I do close alot of game threads, and yours isnt the only one.

they do nothing to contribute to the site, and they push all good discussions down to the next page.

 

Ok, there is one going right now on R.T. called "Yes/No Game". It's right on Page 1, below mine.

That view is entirely subjective, one could argue that they do contribute to the site and are the bulk of good discussions.

 

I agree that they do not contribute to discussion. The replies are often one or two words and usually pretty repetitive as they attract the same people over and over. Want to play games? Contribute to the site and get your own personal forum.
