Is it possible to get a tattoo when your underage without your parents knowing? (I doubt it) without getting hepatitis or HIV xD .

Fake ID? Some places call if the parent isn't there.

There are a few reasons why you have to be age of majority

#1) Tattoos are permanent. There is absolutely NOTHING about my life at 15 or 16 that I would be happy permanently having marked on my body. I have tattoos, but they were arrived at later in life after much thought and consideration.

#2) Your body/skin is still growing. Wait for everything to grow out and to settle before inking up.

#3) You'd either cause the shop legal problems, at the very least annoy your parents greatly.

I don't think they would fall for fake ID. Especially with my face. What or who do they call? The parents?

If you don't think a tattoo artist wouldn't instantly spot fake ID, you're dreaming.
The only ones who'd tattoo someone obviously minor would be scratchers or drug addicts, and you REALLY don't want to trust your health and appearance to em.

Are you worried they'll call your parents?

I mean, wouldn't your parents notice the tattoo, anyway? *confused*

Well, all I'm saying is, if you find a tattoo artist willing to go ahead without ID and such, then you're in the hands of someone who isn't necessarily running an autoclave to the right temperature, or could be so hard up for cash because of drugs or worse.

What's wrong with waiting whatever length of time and getting the tattoo then?

I'm not worried about them calling my parents. I was trying to understand what zulu wrote. Of course my parents will eventually see it.

    This doesn't jive with

I do believe that if a place permits underage tattooing with parental permission, it's gonna be more than a phone call. "Show up with your parents to sign a waiver and have them and you bring ID" is more likely the case. And most reputable tattoo artists will flat out refuse to tattoo someone underage. And there's people out there who'll break the hands of people who tattoo minors, and rightly so.

Thanks for repeating again that most tattoo artist wouldn't do it. That's kind of obvious. I was thinking of a friend or person to give me the tattoo. Jamie Thomas( skateboarder) occasionally inks up his friends. Sorry if I'm beginning to sound rude.

    "occasionally inks up his friends?"

Was he taught by a reputable tattoo artist?
Does he have a clean, sanitary and health inspected shop?
    A working autoclave?

Or does he have a backpack full of "ordered from Easyriders" scratcher-by-night gear?

I have many tattoos, and have been complimented on them. I have sought out people with great skill and paid them well for their carefully thought out and well done work.

That is how you get a tattoo, not "oh, wow, I want a tattoo" and then have God knows who slap it on.

He's a sanitary tattoo artist. He doesn't tattoo minors and does a good job too. I was just using him as an example of a friend giving you a tattoo.

I made this thread out of impulse I don't even like tattoos anymore. Leave me alone. (I'm sure this won't do anything.)
