red and white, blue swede shoes. im uncle sam, how do you do? songs called US Blues. now what disc is it on . . . Mars Hotel?? no American Beauty?? im not sure.
i dont rember how exactly it goes, im not even sure if i have the title right. but i do remember i saw it on woodstock and jefferson airplane was doing it. they might have just done a cover, i dont know. and if it is a Greatful Dead song, i know its not on american beauty.
uncle sam aint no woman, but he shore can take yore man!!! Airplane does this one on Bless Its Little Pointed Head, a live recording, and a great tune.
its also on disk 2 track 16 on Jefferson Airplane Loves you. I never seen woodstock or heard the song, I just googled it. The Jefferson Airplane I have is 2400 Fulton street, which is awesome and I reccomend it.
I'm possitive that those aren't on American Beauty. I heard Uncle Sam's Blues on the woodstock movie too. It's pretty good stuff.
wouldnt surprise me if they did. i mean they played many times with the dead at fillmore and such. in fact there was a few photos taken with the dead and the airplane that can be found on the new self entitled grateful dead dvd including a wide shot of the dead and the airplane and a very big group picture of all of the bands that were playing in the haite ashbury (cant spell it) area. thats a really awsome picture btw
