what is the lid for on a chamber pipe? i've always used glass pipes, but recently bought a tiny metal chamber pipe... but the lid unscrews for you to put the bud in. what's the prupose of the lid? it has a hole in it anyways...
p.s. just moved to a new city, dont know anyone else who smokes, otherwise i'd ask them. i feel stupid, i'm sorry! are you supposed to smoke with the lid on? i mean, there is a small hole, but it wouldnt light or stay lit when i tried that
i've never used them but seen them before im asuming either a) to pack a bowl and keep it for later b) to concentrate a flame c) to maintain a good cherry allowing little oxygen in other than that, i unno
I used to have one. I packed a bowl and put the lid on and smoked it later, You can smoke through the hole, your cherried bud won't fly everywhere, Collects resin up there for you to scrape and smoke , I actually kind of miss mine now... lol. Got a pic?
^^^ i was thinking the other day how i missed the top to my chamber bowl.. those things were nice.. could pack weed in the bowl and just throw it in your pocket.. and like DJ said.. it helps concentrate the flame.. also helps from morons who like to light the whole bowl.. ya know the ones who think they have to torch the shit to get a hit like its a fucking crack rock
My friend had one, we smoked with the lid on sometimes. Use it for whatever you want, as long as it works. Creativity pays, darling.
how does it guard the flame from wind though? would have to be pretty strong wind to swoop down into the bowl and blow the weed out
great to have as stealth where as you hear someone coming, put the lid on and shove it in your pants or toss it in the bush.
it works well as a wind guard, i know i used to have one. it makes it so the flame is sucked almost completely into the bowl and it blocked from wind interference. it allows the bowl to cherry quickly and circulates the flame throughout the bowl so everything is burnt evenly, rather then having the flame burn only one part. not that that is a good thing for marijuana, but remember these are tobacco pipes.
