uke seme relationships are they real?

So I always see things about uke seme and stuff in yaoi. I was wondering how real is that kind of relationship in the gay world, As in the real world. uke = bottom seme = top. semeuke.com for more info and of course google.

I'm just currious if in the gay community if it's like one is generally treated as the submissive one ect and the other is typicaly more dominate. Or is that made up for straight people to better understand the relationship (cause for some reason men have to be wear the pants?..) and in real life gays are more or less equal with their partner and trade role of decision maker often.

More or less I'm confused to no eand about how actual gay relationships typically work....not the fetish ones thoughs are kind of the exceptions to everything it seams.

 

I'll venture to guess that gay relationships are as varied as straight or bi or whatever. The gay couples that I know seem to operate more according to preference or mood as opposed to acting specific roles. No doubt there are couples that fall into the dominate/submissive roles, I just don't think gay relationships can placed in a set category of certain set roles. Your question might make a good topic for a poll.

 

just like any couple, gay couples can have diffrent kinds of relation ships, from a normal one like you'd think of a normal strait couple, to weird ones, like masicisum and bondage, and in gay, just like in strait relationships, there are "uke-seme" relationships where one is considered dominate and the other is submisive, and there are even veriatys in these, maby they will be dom/sub even outside of the bedroom, making one the "guy" and one the "girl", or some will keep it with sex only. theres veriaty in all relationships, gay, strait, or anyother type of relationship, what ever floats their boat right?

Just like in the straight world, goes by who's bigger, whos'got the more aggressive temperament, who wants to play sub or dom.

Straight couple out there where the girl is taller, or wears the pants as it were or really like to control their guy.

And just like in the straight world whoever is more dominant in the bedroom doesnt always mean they are the dominant one in the realtionship.

As I said, nothing to really work out, most like to pretend their are big differences between men and women and collectively there may be , but not in each individual case. There are girls that are effeminate on the outside, yet tougher than guys in the head, and there are guys that look like they can kick everyones ass, but are big softies in the head
