Anyone recommend any good UK Universities? I'm not really talking about the 'high grade' ones (like Oxford) but the ones with the great atmosphere and friendly people. I'm not sure what course I'm going to take but it'd be nice to have a look around. Thanks
I got to Chester College-University, part of the University of Liverpool. They have the organisational skills of a unorganised thing that has been dead for several years, which isn't exactly helpfull. Otherwise, though, it's a good place to learn, the tutors are easy to talk to (when you can find them) and the student support system is wonderfull. The library is huge (one could get lost in that library *ahem* like me..on my first week), and there are plenty of places to eat. It's 20 min walk from the train station (I know, I time my daily walks), and, even though I live at home, there are plenty of places to stay on and off campus. It's around a 30 min walk to Chester city centre, so yeah, it's not too bad a place....though they really need to work on organisation.
I'm in uni of Sussex and I love this place so much. People are super friendly and open minded and the atmosphere in general is just great. I'm not sure what else to tell you really, but feel free to ask any questions.
I'm looking into the University of Kent in Canterbury even though I'm just a hopeful American. From friends of mine who have visited or go there, they all love it and say it's really pretty.
Thanks for your help! It's given me some great ideas! I guess I'll have to get hold of a few prospectus' and visit a few places!
