I am really angry at the world right now. We could have a really beautiful place to live but no one wants to take care of it. What happened to the love and no hate rule. Last night i saw a guy throw a whole bag of trash out his car window. I had my friend pull over so we could pick it up. The bag was full of styrofoam cups and other stuff. The sad part was he was about half a mile from a rest area with a huge dumpster. So me and my friend pulled over and threw it away. It makes me so mad that people can so easily mess up our world. anyway. just had to get that off my chest. hawc
I've got the same gripe, hawc. We live in the country, so it wasn't very often that folks would throw their trash out their car windows instead of taking it home and putting it into their own waste disposal bags. But things have changed, and folks from the city are moving up here to take up the space the corn used to occupy. Only thing is; we don't have street-sweepers up here in this neck of the woods. So it's up to people like you to care for the environment. I try to put my distaste for these folks who trash the neighborhood into the same trash bag I use to pick up their leavings, and disgard the distaste too. But, one time I was following a car on a back road and the kid in the passenger seat threw a bag of garbage out of his window. I stopped and picked up that bag, got back into my truck and followed the car. When they pulled into their home driveway, I pulled up and threw it onto their lawn... then, threw some really good explatives at them while I was spun up.
I hate how people can just do that. Mother earth is only going to take so much shit from us, then what are we supposed to do? it will be left up to people like me and you to try and fix everything. I wish others would open their eyes and take a look around. Hawc
People can be pigs. I have been known to get out of my car and hand cigarrette butts back to people who threw them out of their window and say, "I think you dropped this." Bear says I am going to get shot one day. Shit, cigarrette butts are NOT biodegradable, WHY do people just throw them away like they will disintigrate in a day or two? We live in a area with no street sweepers and no sidewalks ect. People have thrown garbage in the front of our house. What can you do? I just pick the shit up, and throw it in the garbage can. Of course, then, it increases MY input to the damn landfill. What are you gonna do? I get pissed off at this shit, too.
Yep, it pisses me off too...at my parents' home in the country, there is always some kind of crap along the road, and sometimes on their property...people throw out beer bottles, McDonald's bags, and sometimes even old tires and big stuff like that...yep, you are right, Maggie Sugar, people can sometimes be pigs.
Oh man, I know. It sucks, a lot. There seem to be so many rant posts about how people hate other people, and how they hate how people are treating our enviroment, it's almost sad. It's like, yeah, some people don't care about mother earth but in 20 years when she is overpopulated, undercared for, garbage everywhere, and pollution, it is going to be horrible. It gets me SOOO mad how they tear down trees, forests, meadows to build stupid strip malls and stuff...okay, can't talk anymore...I'll get to upset. heh.
It sucks, but that's the way it is, some people just don't give a fuck. I pick up after myself, but who wants to pick up after someone else? Anyway there's no point in getting pissed off about it, litterbugs are a fact of life.
I finance my road trips mostly by recycling cans and bottles and it's funny (in a sad way) the way ppl throw recyclables into their trash bins and trash in the recycling bins. Especially when they're RIGHT next to each other. Dyslexia? Ignorance? Trying to make some twisted point?
