There is now a more politically correct term for "UFO" (Unidentified Flying Object). They should now be called UAPs, or "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena". We don't want to be racially insensitive to little green men. https://www.history.com/news/navy-confirms-ufo-videos-real
It doesn't work, though, because unidentified aerial phenomena are far different from unidentified flying objects. Aerial phenomena could be Venus at its brightest. So I imagine that is what they'll say when you try to talk to them about UAPs. I'm sticking with UFOs. It is better in every way.
All these unnecessary name changes and new acronyms for shit. Stop the madness. It's been UFO for a long time, and I'll continue to call it that.
It has to be accepted that there are U.F.O. - By their nature any Object which is Flying and Un-identified - is just such. - While U.A.P. may be more accurately correct, it doesn't flow as well And by the way - What are they classifying Unidentified Floating Objects? (Unidentified Aquatic Phenomena?) - (think I prefer Undersea Aqua People )
Unimaginative Scientists are also using the abbreviation UFO to describe phenomena surrounding a black hole which is rapidly ejecting material away from it called Ultra Fast Outflow.
The majority of which turn out to be containers swept off the deck of merchant ships and laying just below the surface, a hazard to all navigation.
There have been thousands of credible sightings of both UFOs and USOs. The designation "UAP" is just a ploy to make them seem less credible.
entertaining fictions aside, "LGM" (translated as "little green men") is spook speak for friendly e.t.'s, while "BEM" (meaning "bug eyed monsters") meant unfriendly ones. don't know if anyone uses either terminology any more though. and of course, friendly/unfriendly is in the eye of the speaker's agenda.
if it was flying and unidentified, what it says on the box. ariel does create a clearifying distinction. one that would not help much if it should happen to be seen by an astronaut/cosmonaut, beyond LEO (low earth orbit)
