i went and checked it out my senior year, and its a really cool looking place. Im looking to transfer and am considering UVM again. When i was there the chorale group performed for the perspective students, and more then half werent wearing shoes. I thought it was funny, everyone in tuxedoes minus socks/shoes. The only downside i saw was that though the campus was beautiful, the dorms were shabby.
UVM is a great school...........it's kind of a secret how great it is, Burlytowns got great culture, great music scene, beautiful CLEAN pollution free town. Definitely a VERY open minded free spirited progressive place. Words can't describe a vibe, you should check it out in person.
It's a tottally hip place... College is not my thing, but if I ever went, UVM is without a doubt where I would go.
IMO, UVM is not worth the money if you are not a Vermont resident. It's the most expensive state school for out of staters tuition, somewhere around 40,000 a year if you live on campus. I go to school in Burlington at Champlain College and I love the city. Everyone is super friendly and environmentally aware. Very awesome place to live.
Yeah, it is expensive. One of the reasons i didnt go there. Im in debt at my own states school, there was no way i could spend that dough on the school.
Ya, I woulda gone to UVM if I could have afforded it. All of the aid I received ended up being loans and I would have been $120,000 in debt by the time I left
i wanted to go there for a while, and there acceptance GPA is lower than mine so its a possibility but i rather pay ffor college all by myself. no loans no help other than financial aid. but if i did decide to take out loans, tat would be my first choice. i saw the area around it, and its so beautiful!
Yeah, UVM: Excellent school in a spectacular setting. It's very, very beautiful, as is the surrounding area for quite some distance. The only issue for some people, though, it that it's a college town and that's ALL there is is the college town setting, and then the surroundings of nature; for those who want to be right by a big city, it'd be quite the culture shock. But personally I LOVE new england and small college towns.
i dont know. if you're just trying to get in burlington, then i would suggest reading up on other colleges there, its a great scene.
Thanks you guys, I truly am just looking into getting up into burlington and, yes, i'll definetly be in the poor house if I go there. With that said, the college search continues.
