This very true - Dependant on the story, dependant on the journalist - and their integrity (a la martin bashir) one has to be mindful and aware of stories, but also to read between the lines and look at more than one source (preferebly one with a 'horse's mouth') to get an idea of what's going on * So/Too many inconsistencies
The major problem was in lack of medical knowledge. Journalists simply did not realise that 95% of all people who die have the CURRENT virus in their body during their final 72 hours. Only he TOTAL daily mortality figures are meaningful and while the media were publishing figures nearing 1,000, the total deaths were only up by 20 or 30. The NHS did cope and very few people who could have been saves died. However the scaremongering causing people to flock to hospitals, 97% of who were sent back home was sometimes the cause of triage slowing down. Hopefully lessons have been learnt for the future.
I like to think we learn from our mistakes ... although far too often (as history shows) we fail to do so =
Note the very high levels of Covid in my home town of Bolton which is I believe the highest level in the country . It was slowing down but then we get this today and the Police stand about and do nothing . Yet they will be sending a riot van around the town tonight to check the Pubs and I will be taking pictures
Freedom to Protest is important to our civil right/s but the manner in which it is done. Covid figures seem high whenever such events take place, although whether it is based on Medical accuracy or political manipulation spread by the media? But one thing is true ...
