And so we March on - and the road Map ahead has been set out. The Plan is to move forward upon Positive waves. Schools set to re-open, Vaccination strategy set out as achieving goals (being 60 years - 61 at the end of the Month, and still no letter I'm not so sure) Opening up of Venues and partying as from the beginning of the Summer Solstice - albeit not yet confirmed if these will be Masks and Vaccination received provisos One wonders if always looking on the bright side of life is not done with too thick of Rose-coloured spectacles??
The problem is with people who Nurse, - CARE. The Public support them, the Politicians - DON'T. The only way they can make a firm stance, is to act in a way that sees the pubic suffer, - and that goes against their principles. Instead of clapping them, we; as the public, should write a letter/send an email each week (and it doesn't have to be a long one) - just to ask their local MP why, and how they can justify their own pay rise - voted for by themselves- and not that of those giving 'Front line' service, literally putting their own lives on the line on a daily basis, their proper reward. =.IMO
Still, at least there is the new Summer fashion to look forward to "Available at a cheap price - the latest in D.I.Y. Swimwear":-
Or, (as I have done) write to your MP and complain about the policies of this scumbag 'nasty party' government !!!
Next to come = Childcare? - Homeschooling? - and Change in / to Parental holidays? Longer school days, shorter summer holidays and five-term years all under consideration, says education secretary (msn.com)
The Telegraph = 1 hour ago: Not 'Another' U-Turn ??? (Albeit, if it comes off = a welcome one !) Boris Johnson leaves door open to rethink on nurses' pay rise (msn.com)
False hope and Misleading information from the Media - "surely not shocker" (place your comma where appropriate)
We were warned about this virus near a half-century before it happened = A British Public Information Film on the threat of Coronavirus, released in the 1970s.
We hear a lot about nurses being underpaid, but in reality it is quite a well paid profession. Starting at 16, with only GCSE passes, a nurse can start training on a 4 year course working 4 days in the hospital and 1 day at college. During this period, they are paid above the minimum wage, but their are no charges for the college. At the other end of the starting scale, with a degree the training period is 1 year. This is far from bad, considering secure employment and a future career. Upon completion of training, a nurse qualifies at band 5. Band 5, newly qualified: From £24,907. Band 6: £31,365 to £37,890 • Band 7: £38,890 to £44,503 • Band 8: £45,753 to £87,754 • Band 9: £91,004 to £104,927 Not many nurses are paid band 9, but an SRN visiting patients at home is band 8, while a ward sister at a major hospital is band 7.
