Ive been on the pill for about 4 years now. it does me wonders. but recently i got on a low dose hormone pill because i thought the other was making me sensitive. im getting brownish stains in my underwear that i never got before. my period should be coming soon so i figure that will just be a sign

i was thinking recently about getting on the depo shot. you dont get your period anymore. and its easier than taking a pill every day. did i mention you dont get your period??

3 of my friends said they havent got their period in over a year. i thought that was un-natural but now since im feeling signs of mine coming soon...im thinking otherwise lol

has or does any one take the shot? I'd like to hear stories and opinions.

I myself haven't had any experience with the depo shot, only the pill and patch, but I have had a few friends and my cousin that were taking the shot.

Those that I have known that have been one it, were unhappy with it, mostly due to noticeable weight gain (though I'm sure that diet and exercise will have an impact). They also complained of having frequent breakthrough bleeding and spotting, although not a full blown period.

Continue getting research and keep in mind that what works for one may not work for another, and vice versa.

As far as skipping periods, that can be done on the pill, instead of taking the last week of inactive pills, just skip straight to your next pack. It is recommended however, to let yourself have a period every three months. (Mother nature can be a bitch, huh?)

I wish I could have given you more info, hopefully others will be more helpful.

Not getting your period makes it seem really unnatural. The body has a natural balanca of hormones, and those things can really screw it up..
