Fuck ALL forms of social networking. Just use singles bars and rohypnol like we did when WE were kids. You know, old school.

It is the status bar of facebook, more or less.

But now the status bar concept has been stolen from Facebook and a made into a site in itself.

Apparently you write 140 character (max) blurbs about any old thing that passes through your mind.

Thing is, 99% of peoples daily blurbs aren't worth reading really, celebrity or average Joe.

It could be somewhat effective if used right.

    Probably wont be.

    Agreed.

With all the 14 year old girls hopping on board, this is a disaster just waiting to occur.

Shiftin' through the fodder I suppose.

    Fuck social networking sites.

I like Facebook for keeping in touch and showing/viewing photos, but I really don't understand people who spend hours daily on these sites.

It'll be another site in a year or two. Don't sign up to any of them so as not to give personal information away. I do view myspace for the music, to hear any band mentioned or read about to see if they are worth buying their CD or going to see.

I actually made a twitter account to see what it was...no one I know uses it, so it's useless to me. All in all, I think the site is rather useless...I really don't get it

It's for narcissists who assume that everybody cares about their daily lives.

Not used it yet. Wouldn't bother doing it myself. Think political parties / Important people (politicians et al) / Quangos (the EU) Bands / Artists / Actors (I hear Stephen fry has a good one: Back in Labuan Bajo. Mosquito bitten, sunburnt but very happy. Lots of travelling to do.) and say the UN...are good - or have the potential to be - things to follow on twitter.

obviously, people expose entirely too much of their personal lives and don't stop till they get burned. which is inevitable. it's like drunk emailing. eep. never a good idea to trust too much. 99% will be boring, and 1% will explode in someone's face.

i have yet to visit the site, so i cannot form an accurate opinion.

i'm generally not of the "fuck websites; they're evil" mindset, but it certainly doesn't sound like anything i myself would be interested in being involved in.
