who recommended this? i know i first heard about it on these forums. i just bought a few "exotic" beers, including one of these. drinkin' it now, it's pretty tasty, and i just wanted to say thanks to whoever recommended it. that agave wheat is REALLY good too. i know i like the Pinkus organic on the left, and the white ale next to it. the summer weizen ale with the lady on the bottle was tasty too. anyone tried any of these brews?
I've had the great white and tusker, both pretty ok. Your collection there seems to be mostly wheat beers, not really my fave. I'm fond of the more dark, hoppy beers myself. The nice thing that's happened in the beer world in recent years is the explosion of craft beers. I'm always down to try new ones and really, there is no reason to drink cheap stuff. See if you can find this one 'round you.
^^i've seen that one around. maybe have tried it, maybe not. either way, i think it's probably too hoppy for my tastes. as you can see, i like wheat beers
Well, give it a whirl sometime if you see it, I don't know that it's very hoppy... but it is aggressive in the alcohol content. I like that you search out unique brews and don't just default to the buds and coors. It's all about enjoying what you do, wheat beers or whatever. Then theres this one.. 18+ % I've only had a sip but it's hella strong.
i HATE budweiser. they're the most popular beer in the world, and it's SHIT. for my wedding reception, we have labatt blue/light, coors light, honey brown (a local lager), and bud and bud light. i'm going to tell them i don't want budweiser served at my wedding but shit, budweiser is owned by anheuser busch...which also owns busch (one of my go-to cheap beers) and landshark lager (pretty decent i have to admit). also michelob, rolling rock, and a few other. craft beer "affiliations?!" here's all the beers to avoid: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anheuser-Busch_brands#Brand_variation i like shock top too. but blue moon is better
i like agave wheat when i'm drinking a nice Plata Tequila. i've had over 700 different beers and i've only had two you posted. how was the Smuttynose?
^^^dude , you would love this store (beers of the world) what is the 2nd one you tried? i would buy agave wheat again. same for the "Great white ale" and the middle ages brewing company's "swallow Wit beer" the smutty nose was alright. a little too lemony or something for my taste though. i feel like half the reason i like or dislike a beer is "set" though. am i REALLY in the mood for a beer? did i maybe eat something that clashes with the flavor and makes me like it a little less on certain days? Pinkus organic beers i've had before and are really good IMO. i'd pass on the white ale 2nd from the left. had it twice now - not worth the price. $3.29 a piece, but cheaper if you buy a six pack or something. store is not cheap though.
i've had the banana bread beer. i looked up the rest and those aren't distributed in tejas. im always looking for smuttynose, though. especially their bigger beers.
