The upgraded forums have a Visitor Messaging system that is similar to the guest book we had before. There is now a place to turn this on, because it's turned off for everyone by default.

Here is where you can change it - your user Options Page

    http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/profile.php?do=editoptions

Then ppl can leave messages for you on your personal page! :)

    Enjoy!

New members have it turned on automatically now. The original message was for those who were already members when we did the big upgrade. :)

Sorry I just can not find any info for anything!

How many posts do I need to make before I can send messages to people? I can't find any link anywhere yet.

Also how many posts until I can have a sig?

    Thanks!

Hi, I've been registered for over 5 days, and I still cannot send visitor messages. I have it enabled under options. People have posted messages on my profile page and I feel bad that I can't respond to them.

Yes, this helps us spot spammers before they get a chance to spam ppls PM boxes or public messages.
